A fantastic animated film between dragons and Vikings with an enormous story line directed by Chris Sanders and Dean Deblois, “How to train your Dragon?”. From the producers, Bonnie Arnold, and from the Dreamworks animations comes a great movie of fantasy of different dragons and with the Viking characters that lead the film to one of the great animated film.
We know that dragons and Vikings are the mortal enemies of each other. Vikings hate dragons as they destroy everything including food and shelter of every Vikings. And, dragons just wanted to eat some of their flesh and other playful things that will satisfy them. This is a traditional approach for each of them that means they will fight until there is one that will survive.
Hiccup (Jay Baruchel), the son of the Viking chief in their village, Stoick ( Gerard Butler), is a little boy who don’t want to be a Viking, I mean he doesn’t want to fight dragons rather he just wanted to fight one and get over it just for Stoick to be proud of him. Hiccup helps the Vikings for their weapons and he had a crush on Astrid (America Ferrera) who really are wanted to be a Viking someday. No one believes that Hiccup can be a Viking someday and can’t fight dragons, one of this is Gobber (Craig Ferguson).
There are different dragons around them, the one who steals food, destroys houses, making playful stuffs, love to fight with Vikings etc. But the one who is very different from the others is the Night Fury (Toothless). It never steals food, never seen his body and structure. Hiccup catch the night fury but no one believe it so it was he, the only one who make relation with the Night Fury and he called it the name Toothless because he saw that it doesn’t have any teeth when not in use.
Apparently, Hiccup notice that the problem with the Night Fury is that he can’t fly continuously because of its missing wing on its tail. So, with the expertise of making weapons, he gave his best to help Toothless fly again. While making friends with Toothless, Hiccup also at the test for Viking, you know, fighting different dragons with their trainer Gobber. Hiccup always won the sessions with dragons in his Viking test but differently in the way a real Viking must won against a dragon. It’s because of Toothless, Hiccup knows that dragons are much the same from other dragons so what Toothless want is also other dragons want.
But Astrid discover the things between Hiccup and the Night Fury. Hiccup handled Astrid with Toothless but about the Viking test is not that very easy competing for the first but always comes with the second because of him. Astrid wanted to top the Viking test just to be a Viking someday just like her parents.
Hiccup learned that dragons don’t want to destroy houses and any other unusual things around there village. And then comes that Toothless, Hiccup and Astrid discover the secrets of the dragons why they stole foods in there village. It is because that there is a much bigger dragon, the biggest of them all, who obviously the boss of all the dragons.
Stoick discover these things, the place where dragons come home but never knew with that of the biggest dragon. Apparently, as Stoick discovers that thing, Hiccup and Toothless were caught because it was a sin for a Viking to train and be friendly with dragons. Hiccup now is a ghost for their village because of what he done but he still believes that dragons are friendly. Stoick take Toothless to discover their place and the other dragons and went to be successful. Without knowing the biggest dragon, they fight for the other dragons but went of waking up the champion. Stoick knows that this will be the end of the Viking generation if they don’t kill this one. But his son, Hiccup knows how to kill the dragon with the help of his friends and of course Toothless. It was hard for him to take the last and hardest test to be a Viking, to fight against the dragon boss. With such his great knowledge and strategies and the braveness of his personality, Hiccup successfully killed the dragon.
